Disposal Services

Oil

After profiling your used oil, Moore Oil Environmental Services transports it to our facility, where it is filtered, tested and finally converted to heating fuel or entered into a refining process.

All of these recycling steps are in compliance with the state and federal regulations.

Most frequently, our customers ask us to recycle the following oils: motor oil, transmission fluid, lubricating oil, hydraulic fluid, gear oil, process oil, quench oil and other nonhazardous fluids. However, please contact us for a customized solution for your oil recycling needs.

If you are unsure whether your used oil can be recycled and reused, please contact your Moore Oil representative for more information

Filters

Moore Oil Company collects crushed and uncrushed used filters and transfers them to a specialized steel recycler. Please note: to ensure we can safely pick up your filters, they must be first stored in a leak-proof, sealed container clearly labeled “Used Oil Filters.”

According to the EPA, used oil filters do not have to be managed as hazardous waste, as long as the oil is drained and they are not mixed with a hazardous substance or plated with terne (a tin and lead alloy).

Antifreeze

Antifreeze is commonly comprised of ethylene glycol or propylene glycol, chemicals that transfer heat from a vehicle’s engine to the radiator. Unused antifreeze that is removed from a motor or vehicle is considered waste. To help you protect the environment from the toxic effects of antifreeze, Moore Oil Company will collect used antifreeze and transfer it to a compliant recycling facility.

Absorbents (nonhazardous)

Moore Oil Company collects floor dry, wipes, mats, socks and other types of absorbent materials for separation and disposal (where they are reclaimed or burned as energy recovery). To ensure pick-up, absorbent materials must be stored in a leak-proof, sealed container clearly labeled “Used Absorbents.”
